On Tuesday, June 11th 2019, the Galt Joint Union High School District had a ribbon-cutting for the brand new field at Galt High School.   They also had a ground-breaking ceremony for the brand new Biomedical CT and Science building at Gulf High School.   These projects were made possible because of Measure E.  Superintendent William Spalding tells us a little more about the project and how they came to be.  "We're excited because these are going to be beautiful facilities and it was given to us by our community through the passage of Measure E.  We've been able to make a lot of improvements both here at Galt High School and at Liberty Ranch High School.  The bulk of it is actually happening here [GHS] and we're able to bring in a brand new, beautiful two-story science Biomedical CTE building right in the center of campus.   We were then we're able to take the old field that was grass and dirt track and give it an all-new artificial turf and all-weather track facility... so it's going to be outstanding for our football team, soccer team, our track team, our P.E. programs, and other programs that access the field."   "Hi, I am Paige Lampson, the Mayor of Galt and we are so excited to be here today for the grand opening/ribbon-cutting of the Galt High Warriors Stadium.  It is beautiful!  We are so blessed to have it.  We like to thank the community members for supporting the bond and everyone who put into it."  (Cheers)  "Thank you!"
