GJUHSD Welcomes New Staff!

Amy Rickenbach, Human Resources Cordinator, comes from Lodi Unified School District where she has been the credential analyst for their Human Resources Department for the past five and a half years. She is a Galt resident with two children, Tyler and Alexa, who attend Galt High School. Tyler is a senior and Alexa is in her junior year.
Thomas Arganda joins the Galt Joint Union High School District as the Director of Food Services.  He has been the Child Nutrition and Operations Supervisor in Stockton Unified School District since 2007 with responsibilities for oversight of food production for four comprehensive high schools. Thomas looks forward to working closely with Dr. Siva, instructor for our culinary arts program, and our district’s Farm to Fork agricultural education programs to engage students in hospitality pathways.
New principals Kellie Beck and Joe Saramago have been working closely all summer to align programs and policies in their schools to ensure that we establish coherence and consistency in our academic and extracurricular opportunities for all students at each school.  They and their schools staffs are fully engaged in support our district’s core mission of college, career, and civic success for all students.
Each of our new hires adds to the strength and capacity of the Galt Joint Union High School District team. They join other new hires — Director of Education Services Sean Duncan in June, Director of Technology Kevin Clemons last April, and Chief Business Official Corey Reihl — in supporting and implementing a new instructional schedule and new instructional programs that ensure all of our students graduate from high school with the necessary academic and interpersonal skills for success in life.  Each new team member in whatever their role — whether a teacher, a custodian, a campus supervisor, etc. — helps us to operationalize our vision.
