As promised from the last message sent to you on March 8, I am sharing the most recent information the District Office received today regarding the state's tier status report. As of today, the Tier Status Framework was revised. Under the new Framework, for a County to move from the Purple Tier to the Red Tier, the Adjusted Case Rate in the County must be below 10 cases per 1000K people and the Test Positivity Rate must be below 8% for two consecutive weeks.
As of Tuesday, March 9, the Adjusted Case Rate was 9.5 cases per 100K people and the Test Positivity Rate was 3.8%, marking the first week that Sacramento County meets the criteria to move into the Red Tier. Next Tuesday, March 16 will be the next date that the data is reported and we are confident that the Adjusted Case Rate will be reported near 8 cases per 100K which means Sacramento County will move to the Red Tier. While this information won't be official until next Tuesday, March 16, we are continuing with our reopening plans with a tentative reopening date for in-person instruction to begin on Thursday, March 18. Once the District Office receives official notice regarding the Tier Status change ne xt Tuesday, you will receive a message through ParentSquare as well as an auto-dialer message. Also, please be on the lookout for a letter that was mailed home to all Galt High School District families with information reopening schools and student schedules. If you have questions regarding your child's schedule, please contact the school. A link has been provided so you can access the most up-to-date reopening information and the District's Health and Safety Guidelines and videos:
We look forward to welcoming our students back to school.
