We have posted the presentations given by staff at the most recent board meeting of the Galt Joint Union High School District on July 23, 2020. On July 17, 2020, we were notified that the Governor has declared that schools and districts in counties that are currently on the COVID-19 Watch List cannot open to in-person, on-campus instruction until the county in question has come off the Watch List for 14 consecutive days. Our schools in Galt are currently in that category, so we will have to begin school using a distance learning, off-site format. The ACSA presentation provided by the superintendent explains how schools can return to in-person instruction and criteria for further closure in case of new infection at the schools. The presentation offered by the Director of Educational Services provides the details for how distance, or "fully remote" learning will take place, and how it will be dramatically different and more structured than what was experienced by staff and students in the Spring of 2020. We ask our parents, students, staff, and stakeholders to check back on our website and Facebook frequently as there will be quite a bit of information forthcoming in the next several days.
