Battle of the Chefs

Principals Joe Saramago and Kellie Beck started the competition with a chicken appetizer.  Each had their daughters assist as sous-chef and the competition was close, but Saramago touting techniques he learned from Emeril Lagasse, came away with the win.

Next Head football coaches Jermaine Allen and Anthony Linebaugh faced off preparing steak and eggplant. Allen, whose sous-chef confided he doesn’t cook at home, won the day with his very rare steak.

The third round was a salmon preparation and Galt High custodial supervisor Martha Cavins was challenged by Trustee Angela DaPrato representing Liberty Ranch. DaPrato with her mother as her sous-chef came out victorious after the judging.

Lastly the two Agriculture Department Chairs Mandy Garner and Cheryl Reece were pitted against each other in a dessert battle. Garner won the day, but apparently both desserts were delicious according the testimony of fans who were able to sneak a bite of each after the judging.
